Hawaiian-inspired restaurant expanding from Dallas to Fort Worth, taking over the former Dutch’s Burrito Bar space near TCU. Menu features poke, Spam musubi, loco moco, Hawaiian plate lunches, and more. New location will have indoor seating and outdoor patio, unlike the Dallas takeout-only original. Opening planned for early fall 2026.

New Middle Eastern-style coffee shop serving Yemeni coffee drinks and refreshers. Under construction in a 2,986-square-foot space. Owner hopes to complete construction over the summer and open in August.

Tex-Mex steakhouse (9,500 sq ft) opening in early 2027 at the former Trail Dust Steakhouse site. Owned by Dallas-based UNCO. Braum’s
Braum’s ice cream shop and dairy store is breaking ground on a new Conway, AR location on Farris Road. This will be the chain’s first location in central Arkansas, expanding east from their 15 existing northwest Arkansas locations. Expected to open around November 2026.
Smoothie King
Smoothie King is opening a new location in west Topeka at 2121 SW Wanamaker Rd. The location is currently being set up and is slated to open by August 15, 2026. The chain is based in New Orleans and operates hundreds of locations nationwide, offering smoothies, sports beverages, and energy bars.
Artifact Coffee
Artifact Coffee is opening June 6 in the former Vested Coffee shop location in downtown KC’s garment district. Hours will be 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. daily except Tuesdays. Menu will feature house-made syrups, coffee and matcha, artful details, and locally-made goods for purchase.
Voila! Cafe
French bistro café opening inside the Oxbow Building at the Pearl District. Concept from restaurateur Stephane Raveneau, local franchise owner of Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café. Menu features omelettes, waffles, paninis, croque monsieurs, Niçoise salad, and more at $9.95-$12.95 price points. Opening day offers 25% discount with extended hours 7am-9pm.
The Cheesecake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory is opening a new location at West County Center’s Restaurant Village in Des Peres (St. Louis area), MO. Construction is currently underway and the restaurant is expected to open in fall 2026. David Overton is founder, chairman and CEO of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated.
RuRu’s Tacos & Tequila
Movie-themed Mexican restaurant taking over the former Blue Front Bar and Grill building. Owner Martin Sprock, who co-founded Moe’s Southwest Grill, purchased the 1940s Art Deco building in 2022. Opening expected in July at earliest, by Labor Day (Sept. 5) at latest. Menu features playful movie-themed dish names.
