Pennsylvania-based gas station company expanding with 14 new locations across Metro Detroit. Locations in Eastpointe, Novi, Fraser and Taylor currently under construction. Serves food menu including burgers, salads, and wraps available 24 hours.
Sedo’s Ice Cream
Family owned ice cream shop reopening in downtown Milford after previous location closure. Will offer 32 flavors instead of 16, with updated menu. Currently under construction with interior work including framing and drywall.
Basil Leaf
Halal Thai cuisine restaurant opening at the same address as China Express. Chef Dewan Ahammed plans to serve authentic Thai dishes like Pad Thai, green curry, and spicy-sour shrimp.
Vibe Venue & Cafe
Family-owned restaurant and bakery featuring coffee, croissants, sandwiches, and custom cakes. All meats will be Halal. Currently under renovation with flooring installation underway, but kitchen equipment and dining area not yet installed. Estimated to be at least a couple months from opening.
Joseph’s Brunch House
Joseph’s Coney Island is rebranding as Joseph’s Brunch House with new menu and interior redesign. Renovations are ongoing with opening expected within the next few weeks.
Cooper’s Hawk
Cooper’s Hawk restaurant and winery opening fifth Michigan location. Company known for wine club memberships and dining options. Construction is underway at location near Holiday Inn Detroit Northwest and Laurel Park Place shopping mall.
Coffeehaus
Experimental coffee company opening headquarters to public this spring, selling coffee wholesale downstairs and serving coffee on rooftop. Will include incubator spaces for local roasters and cafes, with plans for outdoor summer events.
Blazing Bird
Second Blazing Bird location in Aurora, ninth overall location for the Nashville hot chicken chain. Owner Artem Muradyan expanded rapidly in 2025 with three new locations. No specific opening date announced yet.
Zodiac Subs
Second location of New York-style sandwich shop with Zodiac-themed sandwiches. Larger space will offer additional seating compared to original takeout-focused location. Opening pending city approval.
Longmont Indian Kitchen
Contemporary Indian restaurant by veteran chef Sheel Joshi, featuring authentic dishes including chicken Mangalorean. Small 18-seat space focused on take-out, located in former temp agency building.
