Popeyes franchisee Rahman Hashimi is opening two locations in the Boston area, starting with a 1,800 sq ft location in Brookline (conversion of former cannabis dispensary) and another in Brighton (conversion of former supermarket). Encore Boston Harbor Hotel Expansion

Wynn Resorts approved to construct up to two new hotels on property along Lower Broadway. Previous 2022 plans called for 800 combined guestrooms across two hotels. No new gaming areas allowed in expansion.

Cambridge Common House

Boutique lodging house with 16 bedrooms designed by Elder & Ash and a lower level lounge space. Part of Lark Hotels’ expansion with four new properties opening in 2026. Set in a fully renovated historic building.

Tasting-menu restaurant by chef George Mendes in Boston’s South End. 45-seat intimate venue with chef’s counter and tasting menu, plus à la carte menu in bar area. Portuguese-focused cuisine with global influences and local New England ingredients.

Baby Sister

Chef-driven bakery-café by George Mendes featuring house-baked breads, Portuguese pastries like pastéis de nata, breakfast sandwiches and light lunch options. Located next door to his tasting-menu restaurant Agosto in Boston’s South End.

Crack’d Kitchen & Coffee

Fifth location of breakfast and brunch chain expanding to Burlington. 2,500 square feet space accommodating 70+ guests with patio seating. Will serve breakfast, lunch and weekday dinner service seven days a week.

Fiorella’s Trattoria

Fiorella’s Trattoria is expanding into the former Papa Wheelies bike shop next door, adding 47 seats to bring indoor capacity to nearly 90. The expansion was approved by Wellesley Select Board on December 16.

Up & Atom Coffee Co.

Coffee shop planning to open in Downtown Crossing, taking over ground-floor space inside the Genesis lab and office building. Will serve as amenity for building while welcoming public. Features coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, and breakfast options.
