Raising Cane’s fried chicken restaurant setting grand opening date after construction delays. Will be the chain’s fifth location in Michigan.
Hamlin Pub
Hamlin Pub is opening their 11th location in the Detroit area and first downtown location in the former Statler Bistro space. The restaurant group has been expanding in metro Detroit since 1992 and offers burgers, tacos, wings, pizza and signature cocktails.
Yaya’s Kitchen
Yaya’s Flame Broiled Chicken is returning to Lansing with a new name ‘Yaya’s Kitchen’ at a new location. Known for never frozen, never battered chicken served as sandwiches, salads and soup. Owner hopes to open by end of January but facing delays with health department issues.

Pizza pop-up opening first brick-and-mortar location specializing in thin-crust pizza. Features pecorino half moon signature pizza and 72-hour cold sourdough ferment dough. Partnership between chef James Rigato and owner Matt Arb.

Shake Shack drive-thru restaurant opening in 3,529-square-foot space near Woodland Mall. 15-year lease signed Nov 25, 2025. Will be first Shake Shack in Grand Rapids area.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
New Chipotle location in strip mall, replacing 2941 Mediterranean Street Food. Interior remodel underway with permit granted in October 2025.
Rock and Brews
Rock ‘n’ roll themed restaurant concept started by KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, opening in former HopCat location. Three-level space with dining, live music area, and rooftop. Menu includes pub grub like pretzels, wings, burgers, and pizza.
Tru Hotel
115-room, four-story Tru Hotel by Hilton approved for construction. 52,516 square feet with pool, garden area, and 128 parking spots including EV charging. Third hotel on same property, catering to business community and summer visitors.
