Salvadoran food truck specializing in pupusas, also serving chicken sandwiches and Hula Hula tortas. Family-run business bringing authentic El Salvador flavors to the community.
The Good Word Social Club
First of its kind gathering space offering dining, entertainment, and community-focused programming in Historic Westside. Part of Cherry Development project alongside shareWestside apartment building. Groundbreaking held this week.
Unleashed – A Dog Bar
Dog bar/brewery opening alongside Springfield Animal Hospital, headed by veterinarians Gary Neuman and Nik Nikolov. Will feature drinks, dog yard, and community events in the former Historically Hoppy location.
Konbini Labo
Japanese convenience store-style cafe described as an ‘inconvenient convenience store’ offering coffee, Japanese foods and snacks, and merchandise. Currently closed while owner has been traveling but preparing to reopen.
Dunkin’
New Dunkin’ location being opened by multi-unit franchisee Andy Patel who operates 25 locations. Construction has started and opening is planned for July 2026.
Juniper Market
Juniper Market, a casual cafe serving fresh seasonal scratch-made food, coffee and tea, is expanding from St. Augustine to a new location in Hastings. Plan review documents have been submitted for the new location.
Soul Out Kitchen
New food truck serving country-style soul food including fried chicken, pork chops, fish, BBQ ribs, burgers and classic sides like collard greens and potato salad. Co-owner Edward is returning to restaurant business after 15 years.
The Block Jax
Outdoor food hall with 8 different food concepts, multiple bars, live music venue, and dog park. Planning celebratory three-day opening event March 20-22, 2026.
