New locally-owned Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop opening in Jacksonville’s Five Points neighborhood. Will feature walk-up counter, seating, and community focus. Owned by Justin Renaldo and wife Daiana in partnership with Orlando and Tanya Garcia.

Potbelly Sandwich Works planning new location at Hodges Station business center. Plan review paperwork has been submitted by Gold and Green Management LLC franchisee. Will join other restaurants like Just Kitchen Jax, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and Tijuana Flats.
Mashawi House
Middle Eastern restaurant concept serving meats like beef, chicken and lamb with vegetables cooked over charcoal grill. Co-owner did not want to give opening date yet but confirmed opening sometime this year.

Great Greek Mediterranean franchise expanding to Novi with fifth Metro Detroit location. Restaurant will serve gyros, grilled chicken souvlaki, salads and Mediterranean appetizers. Located near Twelve Oaks Mall, replacing former Burger 21.
