New cantina-style restaurant opening in east Boise’s Harris Ranch area, featuring tacos, tequila-forward cocktails and live music. Owned by Torro Restaurant Group. Grand opening includes mariachi music and giveaways.

A halal restaurant chain will open in one section of a new multi-tenant building being constructed after demolition of former Tokyo Seoul restaurant. Building expected to be completed this summer.

Arkadia

Mediterranean-inspired restaurant by Ballyhoo Hospitality opening in One Winnetka development. Will feature live fire cooking, seafood, and dips. 6,700 square feet with capacity for 200 inside and 40 outside.

Surf Diner

Surf Diner at Surfside Beach Pier expected to open in a matter of weeks. Restaurant has certificate of occupancy and owners have made payment. Previously operated on old pier before Hurricane Matthew destroyed it in 2016.

Third location of Charleston specialty cafe expanding to James Island, taking over former Maple Street Biscuit Co. location. Plans to expand grab-and-go offerings to be more family-friendly and bring back beer on tap.
