The Southern Chef, a Jonesboro comfort food institution, is opening its 8th area location near the Nestle factory at Highland Drive and Nestle Way. The new location will also include a truck stop. Opening anticipated for spring 2027.

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux franchise location opening in former Ryan’s Buffet site. 6,500 sq ft newer prototype with open floor plan and semi-enclosed patio. Sports-themed restaurant featuring American classics and Louisiana cuisine. Franchisee Chris McJunkins has been expanding in Arkansas since 2020. Set to open early August 2026.

New Orleans-born coffee franchise opening in Rogers, AR at The Summit. Franchise owner Bo Grimes. Known for small batch roasted coffee, specialty drinks, organic teas, frozen beverages, pastries, breakfast items, and New Orleans-style beignets. Opening week specials planned. Hours: Mon-Fri 6am-7pm, Sat 7am-7pm, Sun 7am-4pm.

Second 7 Brew coffee stand location coming to Jonesboro’s Hilltop area. Grand opening June 22, 2026, with a Swag Day on June 27. Free small drinks offered during opening week at specific times. Location is currently hiring. Franchisee is Candace Dixon Horne.

Braum’s ice cream shop and dairy store is breaking ground on a new Conway, AR location on Farris Road. This will be the chain’s first location in central Arkansas, expanding east from their 15 existing northwest Arkansas locations. Expected to open around November 2026.
