New ice cream and coffee shop opening in the Wayneport shopping center in Romulus, MI. Lease recently signed for a 1,200-square-foot space formerly occupied by Lizzy Lit Hookah tobacco store. Will share the building with China Chef and Romulus Beauty Supply. No opening date announced yet. Owner is local entrepreneur Tiffany White.
Don Patron
Second location of Mexican restaurant Don Patron opening at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets mall, southeast corner near AMC Theatres entrance. Menu includes fajitas, margaritas, burritos, quesadillas, and more. Co-owner Gustavo Torres visits daily to work on renovations. Tentative opening sometime in August 2026.

Honey Badger Bakehouse is a pop-up/farm stand bakery transitioning to a brick-and-mortar location in downtown Mason, MI. Owner Allie Stirling hopes to open by end of August 2026.
