Asian fast-casual restaurant bringing fusion of Japanese, Vietnamese and Indian cuisines to South End. Menu will include bao, banh mi, rice bowls, onigiri, tandoori wraps, sushi rolls and boba. First location with plans to scale and support satellite locations.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar planning first North Carolina location at StoneCrest at Piper Glen shopping center in Ballantyne, Charlotte. Will occupy former Pearlz Oyster Bar space. Authentic Japanese sushi restaurant with 89 existing locations across 22 states.

7 Brew

Drive-thru coffee chain expanding to multiple Triad locations. Offers coffee beverages, energy drinks, smoothies, shakes and fizzes. Multiple locations planned including Burlington, Archdale, Walkertown, and Whitsett.

Boxcar Bar + Arcade

Fourth North Carolina location of bar-arcade concept featuring classic and modern arcade games, full bar, large patio space, pizzas, salads and snacks. Will neighbor Pure Sweat Studio and Earl’s Restaurant + Bar.

Breakfastime

Breakfast chain expanding with three new locations in Triad and Charlotte markets. Kernersville location confirmed for late 2026, with additional locations planned for Downtown Winston-Salem and Mooresville.

Ultra Coffeebar

Second location for Ultra Coffeebar, currently under construction with summer opening planned. Owned by Taylor and Jennifer Nicks since 2024.

Three Rabbits Brewing

German-style brewery with 3,400 square feet total space including 1,500-square-foot taproom. Will feature German pub atmosphere, German-style beers plus IPAs, stouts and sours, ciders, wine and nonalcoholic options. Plans grand opening in late summer.

Thoughtful Baking Co.

Farm-to-table bakery expanding from farmers markets to first brick-and-mortar location. 3,500-square-foot space in Oakhurst will feature kitchen, storefront with pick-up window, and teaching space. Known for seasonal offerings including pot pies, quiches and pastries.

Sweetgreen

New 2,200 sq ft Sweetgreen location opening at Plaza Midwood, serving salads, warm bowls, protein plates, and sides. Open 10 AM to 10 PM daily with grand opening events and giveaways planned.

Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse restaurant under construction, expected to accommodate 250-260 customers and hire about 200 employees. Managing partner Nick DeSantis and market partner David Hollinger overseeing the project. Construction includes framing starting next week.
