McMenamins Taft Hotel
McMenamins is converting the historic 1907 Taft Home building into a 63-room hotel with three restaurants and bars, a gift shop, and a direct bridge to the Crystal Ballroom. The four-story building features Chicago School architecture and was purchased in 2024 for conversion.
Fabbt Ethiopia Restaurant
Ethiopian restaurant featuring teff-flour injera with spicy stews, lentils, vegetables, and meats. Space will seat about 50 guests with modern design. Construction underway with flooring and ceiling work completed.
Burger Syndicate
New burger restaurant from the team behind Nacheaux, featuring loaded fries with slow smoked brisket and Cajun seasoned fries. Menu appears to have Southern flair with more punch than typical burger joints.
Niños Birrieria
Family-owned Guerrero Styled Birria restaurant expanding from food trucks to brick-and-mortar location. Menu includes Quesa Tacos, Birria Plate, Birria Grilled Cheese, and Birria Ramen.
ForeLand Beer
ForeLand Beer plans to open a brewery in Portland’s Lloyd District. The brewery will have restaurant seating for 20 and outdoor seating for 16, with operating hours 3-10 p.m. Monday-Friday and 12-10 p.m. weekends. A liquor license application has been submitted.
Strange-Bird
Wood-fired food and hand-tossed pizza restaurant planning permanent location after operating as pop-ups only. Liquor license application submitted for 15-seat restaurant with 4 outdoor seats, open 11am-10pm daily.

100% Latino-owned cafe-meets-cocktail bar concept that will serve coffee by day and cocktails by night, located in downtown Portland. Partners with local Portland roasters, distilleries, and craft producers.

Medieval-themed meadery and leatherworks moving to larger 5,000 square foot location dubbed ‘Castle Wyrd’ featuring a stone turret and small stage. Offers house-made mead and small menu of snacks.
Lola’s Cafe Bar
Health-forward cafe opening in Portland International Airport, serving Nossa Familia coffee, specialty tea lattes, and food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also offers cocktail menu with items like blueberry superfood mojito. Will operate 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Eldorado
New bar from Panther Club owners Quinn Matthewstearn, David Hall, and Nathan Theobald. Features cocktails/mocktails and food program from Lorenzo de Alicante of Lo’s Burgers. Located in former Lollipop Shoppe/Dig a Pony space.
