New 8,000 square foot venue being developed by Powder House Ski Shop featuring outdoor seating with fire pits, 36 taps, handcrafted cocktails and live music. Construction scheduled to finish by late April or early May 2026.
Better Half
Better Half is a sandwich shop reopening in an upgraded location, offering meat-focused and meat-free sandwiches with gluten-free options. The new location will feature a larger layout, improved parking, expanded menu including breakfast and lunch options, housemade items, and an expanded coffee program with espresso drinks.
Doug Fir Lounge
Doug Fir Lounge is relocating from E. Burnside location to the former Le Bistro Montage space. The new venue will feature 325 capacity, L-Acoustics sound system, enhanced parking, expanded dressing rooms, basement bar, and patio.
Olive & May
Northern Mediterranean cuisine restaurant with influences from Spain, Italy, France and Greece, replacing Drake Restaurants in downtown Bend. Named after two significant women in Bend’s history.
McMenamins Downtown Portland Hotel
McMenamins converting former Taft Home building into hotel with 63 guest rooms and three restaurant/bars on multiple levels, including basement venue with small stage. Features secret walkway to Crystal Ballroom next door.
Poblano Pepper
Third location for Poblano Pepper, a Mexican restaurant with vegan and vegetarian options. Will have indoor seating for 30 guests and outdoor seating for 10, operating hours 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Liquor licensing paperwork has been filed.
Phin Caphe
Third location of Vietnamese coffee shop serving Vietnamese coffee, boba tea, matcha, smoothies, and Banh Mi. Store is currently under construction.
Chin Cha
Bubble tea shop serving Chinese smoothies, fruit teas, milk teas and signature tea lattes. Has existing locations in Lake Oswego and Cypress, TX. Signs have gone up and business was registered with the state in May 2025.
Shorebird Bakery
Formerly Woodblock Bakery, rebranding and moving to new location at the Oakshire building on NE 42nd and Alberta. Offers small batch baked goods including pesto and cinnamon rolls, cookies, date bread, scones, muffins, and flourless chocolate torte.
McMenamins Taft Hotel
McMenamins is converting the historic 1907 Taft Home building into a 63-room hotel with three restaurants and bars, a gift shop, and a direct bridge to the Crystal Ballroom. The four-story building features Chicago School architecture and was purchased in 2024 for conversion.
