Public House is opening soon in Downtown Bristol, VA in the former Quaker Steak building on the corner of State Street and Piedmont. Menu will feature steaks, handhelds, cocktails, and craft pizza. Opening date unknown; outlet has not received a response from the restaurant.
OH’s Wine Salon
New wine salon and restaurant offering Nuevo Latino cuisine including steaks, gluten-free fried chicken, octopus escabeche salad, and blue crab alcapurrias. Offshoot of OH’s Vineyard in Hamilton, VA. Approximately 2,200 sq ft with seating for 45 guests plus outdoor patio. Will feature live piano jazz on weekends. Located at Hill High Marketplace.
Capellini’s Classic Italian
Chef Mike Cordero (of Carbonara) is opening Capellini’s Classic Italian, a 3,500 sq ft old-school Northern Italian scratch kitchen with modern flair, seating 75 indoors and 80 outdoors. Taking over the former Rebel Taco Cantina space. Targeting early Fall 2026 opening.
Ovoka Farm
Ovoka Farm, a Virginia wagyu beef farm, is opening a reservation-only wine and dining tasting room inside a historic manor home. The experience will feature F1 wagyu beef paired with Virginia wines, with a focus on hyper-local, farm-to-table sourcing. Opening June 13, 2026, running through weekends. Reservations are already live on their website.

Charlottesville-born salad and grain bowl chain opening its fourth area location in Richmond. Known for salads and grain bowls, with locations in college towns along the East Coast.
Undisclosed New Restaurant (formerly Sal’s Restaurant & Pizzeria)
The former Sal’s Restaurant & Pizzeria property at 835 Capitol Landing Road sold for $510,000. New owners Endian Dong and Xiuyun Chen purchased the 2,416 sq ft building and plan to redevelop it as a new restaurant. The concept has not yet been disclosed.
Quickway Japanese Hibachi
Fast-casual Japanese hibachi restaurant taking over former Kovi Kitchen space in Battlefield Shopping Center. Sign has been installed on exterior facade but construction/prep work still underway.
