Ski-in, ski-out resort with 132 hotel keys and 105 branded residences in Deer Valley East Village. Features 15,000 sq ft spa, multiple restaurants including Peacock Alley, 11,300 sq ft of meeting space, and various pools. Construction commenced May 2025.

Ethiopian coffee cafe opening next to Axum Ethiopian Restaurant in Edgewater. Owner recently signed lease and is working with interior designer. Will serve traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony to espresso, fresh juices, and light bites.

New tap house and food truck park concept from owners of Emerald Cup mobile coffee shop. Will feature outdoor seating, games area, local breweries on tap, and Pizza di Farfalla food service. Ground breaking timing still being determined.
4 Suns Plant Based Kitchen
Full-service restaurant planned by 4 Suns Fresh Juice owner at corner of Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue. Money is still being raised for the new location. Will operate alongside existing Wild Onion Market kitchen.
Sabor Cardonita
Food truck serving Puerto Rican and Colombian cuisine. Owner is determining specific location in Waukegan and waiting for permits before opening in 1-2 months.
Kilwins
Kilwins franchised location opening in Burr Ridge Village Center, serving fudge, ice cream, caramel apples, and other desserts. Franchisees are Nikit Tailor and Mayank Jethva. Construction is ahead of schedule.
Work-A-Latte
Coffee shop operated by nonprofit WorkAbility to provide job training for individuals with special needs. Located in renovated 1924 historic building with 1,838 sq ft retail space. Will offer standard coffee menu and partner with local businesses for food options.
Ledo Pizza
Second location of Maryland-based pizza franchise Ledo Pizza planned for Lake Wylie at Westlake Village development. 2,500-square-foot space with outdoor patio and garage door opening into pub, similar to existing Rock Hill location.
Hoppin’
Charlotte-born franchise self-serve taproom concept with tapwall for beers, offering variety of beers, cocktails, and food items like tacos and bowls. Location has been under construction.
Culinary Dropout
Arizona-based Culinary Dropout planning new location in Ballantyne with two-story building, commercial kitchen renovations, indoor-outdoor bar and patios. Part of Fox Restaurant Concepts portfolio.
