Holistic healing cafe and community space opening in East Kensington’s Jasper House apartment complex. Will offer coffee program with Elixr Coffee Roasters, herbal teas, pastries from Silvia’s Bakery, plus healing products, readings and Reiki sessions. Operating hours will be Monday-Saturday 7am-3pm.

New York-based smashburger joint expanding to New Jersey with three new locations. Union location opening May 18, with Brick and Princeton locations following in early August.

Japanese sushi restaurant expanding to Philadelphia’s Midtown Village. Third location for the New York-based restaurant, featuring contemporary menu with signature toro toast, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty cocktails. Located in former Morea space across from Jefferson Hospital.

Modern enoteca wine bar planned for former Catherine’s restaurant space in Chester County. Will feature curated wines within 100-mile radius, led by Penns Woods Winery partnership. Culinary program by chef Steve Forte with small plates and charcuterie. Still securing funding before opening.

First Chicken Salad Chick location coming to greater Philadelphia area through family-led franchise deal. Franchisees secured 6-location deal and are close to signing first lease. Looking for 2,500 sq ft spaces in areas like Collegeville, West Chester, Exton and Plymouth Meeting.

Two new Jimmy John’s locations planned for Florida Turnpike rest stops – one at Canoe Creek Service Plaza in St. Cloud and another at Turkey Creek Service Plaza in Ocoee. Permit applications filed by hospitality company Areas.

Foxtail Coffee expanding to Altamonte Mall location. Tra-Ben Holdings LLC filed permit applications with Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Coffee shop specializes in craft coffee with rustic decor and sustainably sourced beans roasted in-house.
