Los Angeles-based Mediterranean restaurant inspired by traditional wine bars of Venice, Italy. This will be their 10th location and second in San Diego County. Features small plates, pizzas, and full beverage program. Liquor license application recently submitted.

Isola Pizza Bar

Italian restaurant specializing in Neapolitan-style pizzas opening third location in former Death By Tequila space. Features wood-fired ovens, housemade pastas, and full bar. Founded by chef Massimo Tenino with locations in Little Italy and La Jolla.

New restaurant concept from Merritte Powell, owner of La Puerta Mission Hills, taking over former Harley Gray Kitchen & Bar space. Will offer seven-day service including lunch, brunch, happy hours, and late-night dining. Working with architect Mark Bausback on design.

Timbers Table & Kitchen

New restaurant opening at Great Wolf Lodge as part of resort-wide renovation. Will offer buffet-style breakfast and family-style dinners, over 1,000 square feet. Health agency reviewing plans with revisions needed.

The Original Saugus Cafe

Historic 139-year-old restaurant reopening under new ownership after closure. Eduardo Reyna, CEO of Dario’s restaurant, will be taking over operations amid legal dispute over the restaurant name between previous operators and property owners.
