Born Wild Sporting Club will open in Long Beach according to ABC permit. Owner Tomas De Los Reyes plans to reveal further details in coming weeks. Opening timeline remains unclear.

Flynn Restaurant Group has submitted plans to open a new 7 Brew Coffee drive-thru location. This will be the first California location for the Arkansas-based coffee chain. The 910-square-foot drive-thru-only kiosk will be situated near Lowe’s and Trader Joe’s.

Slice House by Tony Gemignani

Fast-casual pizzeria franchise expanding to second San Diego County location in Plaza Paseo Real shopping center. Offers regional pizza styles including New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit, plus salads and other items. Founded by 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani.

Encinitas Brewing Company

Brewery, distillery, and restaurant concept moving into former Islands Restaurant location in Encinitas Ranch shopping center. 5,500 sq ft interior with 1,565 sq ft outdoor patio. Will feature locally inspired dishes, small-batch spirits, and craft beer selections.

85C Bakery Cafe

85C Bakery Cafe, a Taiwanese bakery and cafe chain, is planning a new location in the former At-Home Medical space within Convoy Village Shopping Center. Documents have been submitted to San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality.

Playa Kitchen

Coastal-inspired café and craft coffeehouse by Clique Hospitality at Torrey Pines Science Park. 3,700 sq ft space with dining room, bar, lounge, and outdoor patio overlooking Torrey Pines Golf Course. Operating Monday-Friday 9am-2pm with chef-driven menu featuring seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

Mvinyo Book Bar

Wine and book bar concept coming to Encanto neighborhood. Liquor license application recently submitted. Owner has experience in education with passion for wine. Concept celebrates diverse cultures in Southeast San Diego.

Poke ETC

Second location for Hawaiian poke restaurant Poke ETC opening in Pacific Beach. Serves poke bowls, Hawaiian breakfasts like loco moco, Filipino dishes, and Japanese fried items. Located in former Oi Shiba ramen restaurant space.

Sister cafe to 60th Street Cafe opening in the Crenshaw Corridor as part of a new housing development, will hire students from SoLa Foundation’s culinary program

Chattanooga

Persian restaurant taking over former Izzy’s Deli location. Design work by Qastic Design-Build shows modern interior with warm lighting and intimate dining areas. Window paper recently went up at the site.
