New lounge and restaurant with liquor license application filed. Owned by Baton Rouge local Keaira Pate, business formed in March 2021. Will be located in former J Spot Bar & Lounge location. Described as casual dining with relaxed atmosphere.
Casimiro
Mexican breakfast joint owned by sisters Lydia and Chef Ana Castro, who also own Acamaya. Menu will feature dishes like huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. Located in former Alma restaurant space.
Chipotle Mexican Grill
Second Chipotle location planned for Lafayette, LA. Property purchased by developer Craig Ripley who plans to demolish existing building housing current tenants. No timeline announced for demolition or construction.
Lilly’s Cafe
Second location of Vietnamese restaurant Lilly’s Cafe after 5+ years of construction and permit delays. Will serve Vietnamese dishes with more creative options and street food.
The R&B Lounge
The R&B Lounge is relocating from 3151 College Drive to a new location at 4612 Bennington Ave in a freestanding building that formerly housed Green Rabbit Tavern. The cocktail lounge offers classic and signature tropical cocktails with a 25+ age requirement on weekends.

New bar & grill concept from experienced Baton Rouge restaurateur Remi DeMatteo, who previously opened Hayride Scandal and Pelican to Mars. Located in the space where Danny’s Dive Bar currently operates.

New tea house and mercantile opening in Downtown Lafayette, offering seasonal selection of teas, snacks, small coffee menu, and tea accessories. Soft opening scheduled for Lafayette Student Arts Expo.

New cocktail bar from Joshua Duke, owner of Olive or Twist, replacing Uncle Earl’s. Construction permit filed. Describes itself as elevated cocktails with party atmosphere.
Nonno’s Cajun Cuisine & Pastries
Cajun restaurant relocating from New Orleans 7th Ward to new food pavilion called ‘the Pointe’ in Lafraniere Park, Metairie. Will be only breakfast vendor in the park, also serving lunch and dinner with jambalaya, fried chicken, catfish. Plans to add beignets to menu.
Charles & Julia Cocktail Bar
New cocktail bar and rooftop terrace opening at Hotel Perle in the Warehouse District. Features two spaces: downstairs wine and cocktail lounge with small plates, and upstairs open-air rooftop terrace with Sicily-inspired design. Operated by Latter Hospitality.
