Holiday Inn

$10 million renovation project converting Quality Inn & Suites Palm Island Water Park site to Holiday Inn, Candlewood Suites and renovated water park. Project approved by Genesee County Economic Development Center.

Raising Cane’s

First Central New York location planned for DeWitt Town Center. 3,472-square-foot restaurant with dual drive-thru to replace existing Taco Bell. Proposal submitted to DeWitt Planning Board awaiting approval.

Chick-fil-A

New Chick-fil-A location proposed to replace old TGI Fridays building in Consumer Square Plaza. Construction anticipated to begin March 2027 with completion in August 2027. Still working through approval process.

Taco Bell

New 2,650-square-foot Taco Bell with drive-thru being built by Hospitality Restaurant Group (HRG). Will replace old run-down restaurant building. Demolition expected within 10-14 days, construction to follow.

Salt

Salt fine-dining restaurant opening at The Crescent hotel at Turning Stone Resort Casino as part of the $370 million Turning Stone Evolution project. Hiring events being held for various positions including sous chef, restaurant supervisor, bartenders, and servers.

Cozumel Mexican Cantina

Mexican cantina moving into former Papa Gallo location, run by same team that owns Margaritas Mexican Cantina and Inka’s. Will feature open concept with indoor-outdoor bar and garage doors opening to patio.

Chick-fil-A

New Chick-fil-A location at Latham Farms under construction with ongoing construction activity. Owner-operator is Jeremiah Mills Lamptey. Currently hiring 80-120 full and part-time positions with pay between $16-23/hour.

Chick-fil-A

New Chick-fil-A location opening at former Brick House Tavern site near Latham Farms. Operator Jeremiah Mills Lamptey is hiring 100-120 employees. This will be the 5th Capital Region location.

Tully’s

Tully’s will open its newest location in The Orchard in New Hartford, taking over the old Uno space. Known for chicken tenders. No construction or opening date set yet.

Byrne Dairy

New 4,900 square foot convenience store with deli and five gas pumps (10 fueling stations) to be built on former Par-K Chrysler-Jeep dealership site. Demolition to begin next month, construction this summer.
