Chick-fil-A is seeking to fast-track planning process for New Hartford location in Avenue Plaza (formerly Kmart Plaza). Plans include two-lane drive-thru with significant stacking capacity. Construction date not yet set but officials expressed urgency. Traffic study will be required due to concerns about drive-thru backups.

New Greek restaurant being developed by Bob and Alaina Pilarinos in the former Athos location. Menu will feature Greek cuisine including swordfish, octopus, calamari, and Greek pasta dishes. Will be open for dinner six nights a week with plans for monthly Greek Night events.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott Auburn
89-room extended-stay Marriott hotel proposed by Rochester-based Indus Hospitality Group. Expected to be TownePlace Suites brand with apartment-style suites including kitchen amenities, gym, laundry facilities and outdoor patio. Vacant home to be demolished for construction.

Fast-food chicken finger restaurant planning two Upstate NY locations. Henrietta location approved by town board for 3,031-square-foot restaurant with drive-thru. Would be first Raising Cane’s in Upstate NY and 14th in state.
Wunderbar Bistro
Wunderbar Bistro is reopening in a new Rhinebeck location after their Hudson location suffered a devastating fire in August 2025. The restaurant is taking over the space previously occupied by Bia, a modern Irish bistro that closed in February 2026. Same menu and staff will be maintained.
