Wunderbar Bistro
Wunderbar Bistro is reopening in a new Rhinebeck location after their Hudson location suffered a devastating fire in August 2025. The restaurant is taking over the space previously occupied by Bia, a modern Irish bistro that closed in February 2026. Same menu and staff will be maintained.
Café Gezellig
European-style café concept by Community Beer Works founder Ethan Cox in historic Polish Co-Operative Savings & Loan building. Will feature beer, wine, light menu, jazz sessions, and vinyl listening inspired by Japanese jazz kissa cafés. Includes outdoor seating and off-street parking.

Dave’s Hot Chicken taking over former TGI Fridays building in 5,071-square foot space, featuring hand-breaded chicken tenders and sliders with seven spice levels
Olympia
New restaurant by owners of Gardenview Diner opening at former Bull & Bear Roadhouse location on Route 57. Menu will be 90% similar to Gardenview with focus on lunch/dinner plus Greek daily specials. Currently renovating with new windows, seating, counters, and remodeled kitchen.
Beebe’s on the Square
Art-forward daytime bistro, cocktail bar, and events venue in the historic Brisbane Building downtown. Will offer weekday lunch, small plates, cocktails, and happy hour with culinary program led by Chef Jessica Melisz. Plans to expand with seasonal outdoor patio during summer months.

A halal restaurant chain will open in one section of a new multi-tenant building being constructed after demolition of former Tokyo Seoul restaurant. Building expected to be completed this summer.

Chick-fil-A location opening in Johnson City in 2026. Demolition of former KeyBank building completed in December, property expected to be turned over to Chick-fil-A in March. Another potential location in Vestal with amended site plan approved.

Modern Ohana
Chef Mix Johnson is reopening his restaurant MIX Kitchen & Bar as Modern Ohana with a tropical island fusion theme. The restaurant will feature Pacific Rim and Asian fusion cuisine, tropical cocktails, and tiki classics, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.
