Elia Greek Tavern
Elia Greek Tavern is set to open a new location in Richardson later this summer (July). The restaurant currently has one location in Bishop Arts and serves a Mediterranean seafood-focused menu including branzino, seafood orzo, and salmon skewers. The Richardson location will include new menu additions alongside customer favorites.
Cahoots Seafood Bar & Grill
Sharon’s South BBQ at 2050 Antilley Road is closing and reopening as Cahoots Seafood Bar & Grill, a new Cajun and seafood-inspired concept. The location closed June 8, 2026 to begin the transformation. No opening date has been announced yet.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is constructing a new 2,500-square-foot location in Abilene, TX across from Lowe’s Home Improvement. Construction began May 4, 2026 and is expected to be completed by Dec. 4, 2026. Estimated project cost is $1.8 million per TDLR filings.
Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A opening new location in Melissa, TX (Collin County) on June 18, 2026. Owner-Operator Ryan Fister. Restaurant features dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, and Mobile Thru service, plus a newly redesigned playground. Creating approximately 120 local jobs. Grand opening includes a ‘Moove-In Party’ with free entree for guests wearing cow spots.
