Trailhead Cafe

New cafe at Theodore Wirth Park operated by Aki’s BreadHaus, featuring German-style baked goods, Broken Clock beer, and Curioso Coffee. Grand opening weekend planned for May 29-31.

Field Day

Danny Childs and his wife Katie are opening Field Day, a cocktail bar featuring ‘Slow Drinks’ philosophy using locally farmed and foraged ingredients. The bar will be located inside the Cescaphe Ballroom in Northern Liberties and will feature cocktails, sodas, ferments, and food from consulting chef Melissa McGrath.

Fox in the Snow cafe opening its sixth location in Clintonville, formerly Hot Chicken Takeover location. Opening at 8 a.m. on Saturday with special promotions for first customers.

Duke’s Burgers

Duke’s Grocery is opening a new fast-casual spinoff called Duke’s Burgers at Water Park in Crystal City. The kiosk will serve signature burgers, white truffle mac and cheese, wings, and fish and chips. They have applied for a liquor license and this will be their first Virginia location.

Two Daughters Bagels

New York-style bagel shop opening in former Miracle Mobility space across from Largo Mall. Owner has been renovating since signing lease in August. Will offer 15+ bagel varieties, dozen cream cheese flavors, coffee from Buddy Brew, and house-made baked goods. Plans to operate 5:30am-2:30pm daily.

Cafe Momentum

New two-story, 11,000-square-foot flagship center for Cafe Momentum, a nonprofit restaurant that serves justice-involved youth. $10 million privately funded project in East Dallas Wilson Historic District. Will house restaurant operations, training, and community programs under one roof.
