Choptank
Atlas Restaurant Group’s seafood restaurant concept approved by DIA committee for Riverfront Plaza. Will include waterfront raw bar, casual dining, full-service dining room with seafood and steaks, and rooftop bar. DIA board expected to consider recommendation at May 20 meeting.
California Roadhouse
City Council approved lease terms for California Roadhouse to occupy vacant 4,100-square-foot restaurant space formerly housing Rusty’s Surf Ranch. Five-year lease with extension option, $500K city contribution for improvements, but operator has concerns about worker retention requirements and may relocate to Venice Beach if terms can’t be finalized.
Monami
Korean barbecue restaurant from Michelin-starred SSAL chef replacing Noosh. Construction scheduled to start June 1, 2026, continuing through at least early November and possibly into 2027. Chef describes concept as ‘Korean barbecue version of House of Prime Rib’.
Fazoli’s
Italian-American food chain returning to Tallahassee after 10+ years, featuring outdoor patio and double drive-thru lanes. Will have 85 employees and company FIT team support for opening.
Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood
Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood is opening in a north Abilene shopping center with a $250,000 renovation project. This will be their 9th Texas location, specializing in seafood boils, po’boys, pasta, and wings.
Philly Boyz Cheesesteaks
Philly Boyz Cheesesteaks is opening a brick-and-mortar location in the former A1A Cidery space. The space is currently being renovated.
Coya’s
Coya’s is relocating to a new location along Avenue of the Cities following a nearly yearlong renovation project that included major construction, rebuilding interiors and updating plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment.
McDonald’s
New McDonald’s franchise location operated by Bucciferro Family McDonald’s, groundbreaking scheduled for May 4, 2026. Located near Walmart.
Vita 4400
Restaurant planned for Sylvan Park building that previously housed Smokin Thighs. Vita 4400 LLC owned by Anthony Sanfilippo and Jake Sudduth. Interior updates being sought via permit.
