Roanoke Hospitality is opening Altezza Rooftop on May 28, 2026 at 101 E. Erie St. in Streeterville, Chicago. The rooftop concept focuses on Italian aperitivo culture with craft cocktails, shareable small plates, and wood-fired pizzas. Woody’s Seafood Shake

Family-owned Four Sisters Cafe is opening a new coffee shop called Four Sisters Coffee in the same shopping center as their existing cafe at 9050 Fairway Drive in Roseville. The shop is an extension of their 14-year-old breakfast and lunch cafe, run by four sisters. No opening date has been announced yet.
Slicen Dyson
Baltimore County pitmaster Dyson Adams is opening his first brick-and-mortar BBQ restaurant after 3 years operating a food truck. Menu will feature smoked chicken, brisket, burnt ends, ribeye steak, and new items inspired by a Texas culinary research trip.
Playa Bowls
New Jersey-based açai bowl chain Playa Bowls is opening its first Cibolo location at 513 Cibolo Valley Dr in the Cibolo Bend Shopping Center. The chain specializes in tropical bowls, smoothies, and juices. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing indicates construction ends in September 2026, with a late 2026 opening anticipated.

Whataburger is planning to convert a former Popeye’s location at 275 Smokey Park Highway into its first Asheville, NC location. Permits were filed with the City of Asheville on May 18, 2026 for a complete exterior and interior conversion. Permits are currently under review by city staff; no construction timeline has been announced.
