Sushi by Scratch Restaurants

Michelin-starred hospitality group Scratch Restaurants Group plans to open two concepts – Sushi by Scratch Restaurants (omakase with 10 seats) and Not a Damn Change Burger (Wagyu burger concept) – in Midtown Village. Customers enter through NADC Burger to access the speakeasy-style sushi restaurant.

Waffle House is opening a new location in Dunnellon, Florida. The chain has filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for this location.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Potbelly Sandwich Shop franchise location coming to St. Cloud. Sugarland Investment Group LLC has filed permit applications with Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for this location.

Five Guys

Five Guys will replace Burger King’s Whopper Bar at Universal’s CityWalk. The location will be operated by North Star Dining USA Inc., which owns more than 15 Five Guys locations in the Orlando market.

Lucky Patty Smash Burgers

Popular San Antonio food truck opening first brick-and-mortar location in the Maverick Building. $1.2 million renovation of 2,000-square-foot space with commercial kitchen and dining. Construction starts end of April 2026.

Roku Japanese Cuisine

Second location of upscale Japanese restaurant expanding from Roseville. Will occupy 4,000 square feet in Willow Creek Town Center, more than double the original space. Menu will feature sushi, ramen, teriyaki and other Japanese staples. Renovations to begin after University of Beer closes.

DQ Hawaiian BBQ

DQ Hawaiian BBQ expanding to Carmichael with Hawaiian, Asian, and American influenced menu. 1,700-square-foot space designed for dine-in and takeout. Soft opening planned for next weekend with grand opening following in coming weeks.

Burger Me!

All-natural hamburger joint expanding from Truckee to Auburn. Beer and wine license filed. Family-owned restaurant focusing on quality ingredients with burgers, patty melts, and classic sides.

Pizza Factory

Pizza Factory franchise location opening in former Folsom Family Taekwondo space in Folsom Village shopping center. Will feature full lineup of signature pizzas, casual dine-in and takeout service. Franchisees are husband-and-wife team Mandeep and Sukhwinder Kaur.

Las Brasas Tacos & Salsas

Las Brasas Tacos & Salsas is reopening in its former location after closing in September 2024 to focus on catering. The restaurant serves casual Mexican cuisine including burritos, tacos, and tortas, founded by Chef Rudy Peniche.
