Valencia’s Carniceria & Taqueria
Valencia’s Carniceria & Taqueria is expanding into the neighboring unit formerly occupied by Subway at Sunrise MarketPlace. The expansion will provide additional indoor restaurant seating and more spacious dining experience. Originally planned for spring debut but timeline shifted to June 2026.
Divine Bistro
Local restaurateur Samir Fadel has applied for a beer and wine license for Divine Bistro, taking over former Pinocchio’s space. Plans are still in early stages with menu not yet determined. Fadel owns Divine Market and Columbia Market & Deli.
Shorebird Bakery
Formerly Woodblock Bakery, rebranding and moving to new location at the Oakshire building on NE 42nd and Alberta. Offers small batch baked goods including pesto and cinnamon rolls, cookies, date bread, scones, muffins, and flourless chocolate torte.
Eggslut
Eggslut’s second Washington location opening at Westfield Southcenter, featuring made-to-order sandwiches and sides with new Wagyu burgers exclusive to this location. District Manager James Pham overseeing operations.
Le Croissant Bar
Croissant cafe and bar concept opening in former Starbucks space, serving croissants, coffee, and offering beer/wine/champagne pairings on weekends. Owner previously operated BraveHeart Mountain Coffee and sold croissants at farmers markets.
Le Nocturne
Modern French dining and bar experience with supper club-style atmosphere, late-night service, EDM and house music. Features seasonal menu with French classics and contemporary selections. Father-son collaboration with Cameron Schell involved in menu design.
Caramba
New Spanish restaurant focusing on Spanish-inspired dishes, tapas and small plates. Taking over former Frontier Spice space. Owner also operates Brava Garden Eatery and Planta Coffee House in the area.
Vinnie’s Emporium
Second location of Vinnie’s Bar and Grill expanding to Brentwood, featuring live music and local pub concept with American bar classics like buffalo wings and jalapeƱo poppers
Bageletto
Bageletto is expanding with a new sit-down cafe location in San Francisco, taking over a former Peet’s Coffee location. Will serve fresh-baked, hand-rolled, and boiled bagels with in-house schmears and sandwiches, plus Italian sandwiches with meats produced in-house. Owned by Kiki Theodorides and Rich D’Aloia.
Handel’s Ice Cream
Award-winning ice cream chain with over 100 flavors opening new location to replace Starbucks. Chain produces ice cream fresh on-site daily since 1945.
