Sombrero’s

Sombrero’s broke ground in late April 2026 on a new, larger location in Walker, LA near Pickleball Kingdom and Walmart Supercenter. Expected to open by March 2027. New location will feature an outdoor patio and seating for over 200 customers, larger than their current shopping center location.

The Frozen Frog

Food trailer transitioning to brick-and-mortar ice cream and shaved ice shop in a Publix plaza. Owner Kryste Gainey runs the shop with her mother Debbie. Known for colorful cups of finely shaved ice with gummy toppings. Hopes to open by end of May 2026.

Raising Cane’s

Raising Cane’s chicken restaurant coming to former David’s Bridal site on 41st Street in Sioux Falls. Demolition of previous structure has begun. Company officials call it a high priority location, expected to open near end of 2026.

Villaggio Italian Market

Villaggio Italian Market, an Italian bistro and imported goods store currently at 173 Front St, is relocating to 62-64 North Ave in Owego, NY. The expanded space will include more seating, a full bar, and outdoor dining. No public timeline has been announced. Business will remain open during the transition.

Frescas Bar by Antojitos Sinaloa

Antojitos Sinaloa, a food truck operation with four locations, is opening its first brick-and-mortar frescas bar. North Peak Brewing Company

North Peak Brewing Company opens May 28, 2026 in downtown Bay City, MI following a noon ribbon-cutting ceremony. Part of a $4.5 million mixed-use development also featuring Kilkenny’s Irish Pub. Miramar Food Hall

Miramar Food Hall is slated to open in early summer 2026 (targeting June) inside the revamped circa-1938 Miramar Theatre. Initial tenants include Cosmos Burger, Ricebunn, Immersion Coffee Co., Hen Haus, and Moto Pizza (Detroit-style). Will also feature two dedicated bars. Jim Krieger is COO of Tiger Hospitality, the operator.

Shake Shack

Shake Shack is set to open at the former Motel 6 site at 125 Union St in Braintree, MA, part of a new development. Cava has already opened at this location; Shake Shack is described as a future opening replacing a Chick-fil-A that backed out.
